Pinterest Ads - Information about exporting XML feed from shop or installation plugin

The catalogue is a repository for all the items you want to promote or sell on Pinterest.

There are several ways to add a catalogue in Pinterest. The easiest option is to link the e-commerce site via an existing integration. Pinterest currently supports the following shop systems:

The instructions for linking your shop via the above-mentioned integrations are available by clicking on the respective e-commerce system.

If no existing Pinterest integration is available for your webshop, you can also set up the catalogue via a data feed file. To do this, a product feed is created from the shop system. The most suitable feed for this is one that is hosted directly in the shop - further requirements for the data feed on Pinterest can be found here. This feed can then be called up regularly and the product changes in the shop are automatically adopted. These fields and specifications must be observed when creating the data feed (subitem prepare data source - scroll down the page).

To upload a new data feed file to a catalogue:

  1. Go to the Pinterest Business Account and click Ads - Catalogues.
  2. Under New Data Source, add the following information:
    1. Data source name
    2. The URL of the product data feed for Product Feed URL, this must start with http://, https://, ftp://, or sftp://
    3. Under File Format, select the format
    4. Under Default availability you can select the default availability of your products
    5. If your feed is secured with credentials, enter them under Username and Password.
    6. Under Country enter your location
    7. Under Language, select the language in which the feed is published.
    8. For Default Currency, enter the currency
    9. The time and time zone is optional, this is the time the feed will be retrieved at
