Pinterest Ads - Ads: Requirements, formats, and specifications

The ads or "pins" that you want to promote must meet certain requirements:  

  • They must be stored in one's own company profile. 
  • They must be pinned on public pinboards. 
  • They must have a target URL.   
  • This target URL or even the description of the ad must not have a link shortener.   
  • They must not contain any third-party videos or GIFs.   
  • They must comply with Pinterest's standards for ads.   

Formats  

An aspect ratio of 2:3 or 1,000 x 1,500 pixels is recommended for ads. If the aspect ratio of 2:4.2 is exceeded, these ads will be cropped so that users can only see part of the ad.
